We are thrilled to have two training rooms in which we offer pre-service training for all new foster/adoptive parents in North County.

We also offer on-going training and workshops for foster/adoptive parents in child development and advocacy for their children’s health and well-being.

Support groups meet at SFTH and offer help and resources to each other.

 

 

 

The North San Diego County Foster Parents Association meets monthly to give updates and training on changes in legislation, and state and county policies governing foster care.

We now have a child care center for the foster children to be cared for while their foster parents are receiving training. All training classes are offered free of charge.

CPR and FIRST AID are given free of charge to foster/adoptive parents and their respite providers.
Classes are held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
