Mission Statement Our hope is that every child be born into loving arms. When that is not possible, that other arms are there to wrap the child in love and healing. Straight From The Heart's mission is to support those children and the arms who hold them. What is a Foster Parent? Someone who opens their home and heart to a child who is the victim of abuse and neglect at the hands of their parents. A foster parent is someone who works hard to gain the trust of the child. They nurture, protect and treat them as their own. They heal the scars and wounds and help them thrive. Then after 18 months or more, they are asked to let them go. The most important service we offer at SFTH is the support to the caregivers who sacrifice their hearts so that the children will have safe and loving homes. Ways we provide that support:
